i am just a tadpole swimming in this tiny pothole that filled up with water when the deluge started so maybe i don't know anything but as i peek out over the edge of the cracked concrete and loose rubble that makes possible my existence and see the flash of blue-white fire arcing from heaven or hear the deafening lion's roar supplanting it or feel the terrible crush of the hurricane that threatens to pick me up and throw me off this earth into the great maelstrom of planets and stars and black holes and galaxies that rages around us every day just beyond our sight i think to myself oh my God all these things were meant to evoke wonder even when they hurt. ~DM
